How it works
The life of a coin in three steps
No brokers, no order book, no payout queue. Enter a number of coins and walk a trade from purchase to sale — with a real calculation.
Step 1
Purchase: the formula sets the price
- Each coin has its own price. Each next coin in a trade is slightly dearer than the previous one.
- No seller to find. The system issues the coin within the cap.
- Precision to the Wh. Accounting is in 0.001 evan and micro-USDT, rounding in favour of the reserve.
Step 2
Money becomes energy
The buyer’s money goes neither to the operator nor to marketing: it immediately becomes the reserve, equal to the sum needed to redeem all coins in circulation.

Sale: money at once
—
- No buyer to find. Coins return to the system; money comes from the reserve at the formula price.
- Each next coin sold is cheaper. So selling a large amount at once is unprofitable for the seller.
- Never below 1 MWh. That is the floor of every coin.
Calculated on demonstration parameters: demo WattCoin EU, cap 11.17 bn coins, 10 % in circulation, energy price $0.1616 per kWh.
Roles
Who does what
Coin holder. Buys, holds, pays with and sells coins.
The WattCoin formula. Calculates the price of every trade. No party can change the price by hand.
National operator. Runs the reserve, the exchange and the wallet, publishes coverage daily.
Generators. Sell the operator energy or bonds for its delivery — these make up the reserve.
